Who are We?
We are based in USA, raising funds for various charitable causes with main emphasis on educational needs of children in poor countries. We use field officers to identify, plan, fund and execute projects based on instructions from donors. We have a board of directors who conduct regular meetings and address all aspects of running this charity.
Our 100% Guarantee:
We have a unique model that is not common in other charities. All the operational expenses are paid for by the founders of Sitanjali. This allows 100% of donor funds to be used in the target project. While we have a list of potential projects worthy of funding, it is up to the donor to decide where the money should be used. We also encourage the donors to actively engage in the projects they are supporting. We are also open to any and all new projects from donors as long as they meet the legal guidelines for charity in USA and foreign countries where the project will be conducted.
Our emphasis is on the following:
* Help Pre KG and KG children with learning materials, nutritional needs and building self esteem.
* Help Grade 1-8 with uniforms, science projects, field trips to broaden the horizons, class room materials.
* Help institutions with capital projects, expansion, upgrades as well as repairs and maintenance.
* Help potential gifted children achieve high level education goals with financial aid that is well controlled and heavily monitored.
Our fundamental policy is to filter all our activities through a set of our core belief:
- All charitable acts must be free of constraints of politics and religion. We strongly believe that charity should not be influenced by these two factors. Therefore we will not support any project that is based on these two aspects of the society.
- There must be transparency of actions- absolute, complete and total. Since all the administrative costs are paid by founders, 100% of donor funds go to target project. We will ensure, to the highest possible level, the policy of most efficient way to complete the project.
- No direct or indirect benefit to our members, volunteers. Our people will not be allowed to engage in any financial benefit during the execution of the projects.
- When we help a charity, we will hold them to the same accounting, financial, moral and ethical standards that we have established for ourselves.
- We will only engage in projects that have long term beneficial effect. Give a hungry man a fishing rod not fish is not enough for us. We believe in teaching a hungry man how to make a fishing rod, how to fish and then have him pass on the knowledge to other hungry people.
- We will only support charities that have dedicated people with clear goal and long term plan, a vision for the cause they believe in.
